COURSE PLANNING
8TH, 9TH, 10TH & 11TH GRADES
Course Planning is part of a student's EDP process. When students complete the activities and lessons assigned to them in Xello they are spending time discovering and documenting their talents, interests, skills and more. Students are also asked to spend time discovering and documenting what careers they are interested in possibly pursuing in Xello. This leads us to course planning for high school classes. High school offers increased choices in the courses and electives a student can sign up for. Students will work their high school counselor to discuss options and create their actual course plans.
If you would like a current copy of your personal course plan which includes credits earned please contact your counselor.
The information provided on this page is to give students and their parents quick access to graduation requirements and course offerings. These are things students and their parents/guardians may want to explore and discuss at home before meeting and discussing options with the high school counselor.
As students enter their 12th grade - Senior year of high school the focus changes from course planning to career/college preparation. This is why 12th graders are not included in course planning and instead have a different set of requirements. During the senior year we focus on developing a resume, learning how to ask for letters of reference, making sure their talent portfolio is completed and how to access school records/transcripts.
